Tools that work,
and the why behind them.
School Occupational Therapists (OT) help students build the skills they need to learn, focus, and participate in the classroom, from handwriting and organization to sensory regulation, so they can thrive at school.
My Vision
As an OT, I offer more than just strategies, I give you the why behind them. Whether you're a parent or a teacher, you'll gain the insight you need to adapt tools to your child, your classroom, and your unique situation, so every child has the chance to thrive.
Helping Children Thrive at Home and in School
Whether at home or in the classroom, many children struggle with everyday tasks such as paying attention, staying seated, handwriting, cutting, coloring, completing puzzles, or keeping their supplies organized. Often, these challenges are connected to underlying difficulties in areas such as:
Sensory Processing
Fine Motor Skills
Visual Perception
Focus and Organization
At Occupy and Thrive, you’ll find an abundance of resources in:
Downloadable PDFs
Helpful videos
In-person and virtual courses & workshops
Each resource is designed to be both parent and teacher friendly, offering tips and strategies that fit seamlessly into daily routines while making a meaningful difference for children.
The knowledge and experience of an Occupational Therapist (OT) is invaluable in helping these children learn, participate, and succeed.
Many children don’t receive formal OT services because their symptoms aren’t severe to qualify through their school district or health insurance. However, they may still benefit from many of the same strategies used in therapy that are easy for parents and educators to integrate at home or in the classroom.
Disclaimer: The strategies and activities provided are for general support and do not replace formal Occupational Therapy services. If you have concerns about a child’s development, consult with your school district or pediatrician.
